“Grant Writing 101” is a targeted session for nonprofit staff and volunteers who want to learn the basics of grant writing and understand the world of charitable foundations and other private sources of funding. This four-hour session will show you how and why foundations request grant proposals and what makes for an effective grant proposal package. You will practice telling your organization’s story in compelling ways and learn how to build an organizational culture of story-gatherers—a key component of grant writing and fundraising success.
“Grant Writing 101” will be taught by Driftless Writing Center board member Jennifer Morales and all proceeds from this workshop will go to support future DWC programming. Jennifer has been writing grants for nonprofit organizations in the education, social justice, and policy fields since 1993. Her grant writing has raised more than $30 million dollars for her client organizations.
