Want to polish your writing and make it publishable? Are you ready for an expert’s opinion on the story, essay, or chapter you’ve been revising? In the Manuscript Critique workshop, you’ll learn how to assess strengths and weaknesses in your own and others’ work. You’ll master strategies for crafting a gripping, convincing narrative. Instructors will lead in-class critiques aimed at developing a writer’s skills and confidence. They will also offer comprehensive, individualized feedback. Each participant will be asked to submit a self-contained work of fiction or nonfiction up to 5,000 words long (for example, an essay, short story, multiple very short prose pieces, or a chapter) for critique.
